Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year! As a viable candidate for the Charles County Board of Education, your vote on September 14 will allow me to be a part of a team that will make sure this will be a successful year for your child. With your active support and cooperation, combined with a professional Board at the helm, together we will ensure academic success for all our students.
No doubt there will be many school activities in the upcoming months, and things may get quite hectic. Don't forget to vote! The Primary election is on Tuesday, September 14. Only 14 out of the 19 candidates will advance to the General election on November 2. Of those, only seven will qualify to serve on the Board; and I wish to be one of those seven serving your best interest!
Don't miss this opportunity to exercise your voting power in 2010. Let your voice be heard!
Please feel free to write me, or to ask a question about anything that concerns you. I look forward to working together as partners in learning.
Vote Patricia Bowie for Board of Ed. on September 14 and November 2!
At your service,
Patricia Campos Bowie
Charles County Board of Education
Candidate
Thank you for Your Support!
Reading is the pillar for all other subject matter
Without the primary building blocks of literacy, all other subjects will become more difficult to master. Make this school year a successful one for your student. Take the time to read to your children and try to limit television viewing. Also, take a quick trip to your local library or visit it online and get acquainted with the myriad of resources that are available just for you. So go ahead, curl up with a good book and read to your kids - it will open their mind to a world of opportunities! Check it out @ your library. http://www.ccplonline.org/
Support our local teachers!
